Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
मातुलो भागिनेयश्व देवलोकादिहागतौ । विहर्तुकामौ सम्प्रीत्या मानुषेषु पुरा विभो,ये दोनों परस्पर मामा और भानजे लगते हैं! प्रभो! पहलेकी बात है ये दोनों महर्षि मनुष्यलोकमें भ्रमण करनेके लिये प्रेमपूर्वक देवलोकसे यहाँ आये थे
mātulo bhāgineyaś ca devalokād ihāgatau | vihartukāmau samprītyā mānuṣeṣu purā vibho ||
Dijo Śrī Kṛṣṇa: «Parecen estar unidos entre sí como un tío materno y el hijo de su hermana. ¡Oh poderoso! Hace mucho tiempo, aquellos dos grandes sabios, movidos por el afecto mutuo y deseosos de vagar entre los hombres, vinieron aquí desde el mundo de los dioses».
