Chapter 29
शशबिन्दुं चैत्ररथं मृतं शुश्रुम संजय । यस्य भार्यासहसत्राणां शतमासीन्महात्मन:
śaśabinduṁ caitrarathaṁ mṛtaṁ śuśruma sañjaya | yasya bhāryāsahasrāṇāṁ śatam āsīn mahātmanaḥ ||
Dijo Vāyu: “Oh Sañjaya, hemos oído que Śaśabindu y Caitraratha han muerto, esos magnánimos de quienes se dice que tuvieron cien mil esposas. Incluso reyes tan célebres y poderosos, rodeados de inmensa prosperidad mundana, no quedaron exentos de la muerte; por ello, no debe uno aferrarse al orgullo ni a la posesión, sino meditar en la impermanencia que rige toda vida encarnada.”
