भवानेवंविधो<स्माकं संशयं छेत्तुमरहति । अमूढश्चिरमूढानां लोकतत्त्वमजानताम्,“लोक-तत्त्वके ज्ञानसे शून्य और चिरकालसे अज्ञानमें पड़े हुए हम-जैसे लोगोंके संशयका निवारण सर्वगुणसम्पन्न आप-जैसा ज्ञानी महात्मा ही कर सकता है
bhavānevamvidho 'smākaṃ saṃśayaṃ chettum arhati | amūḍhaś ciramūḍhānāṃ lokatattvam ajānatām ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Un sabio como tú es, en verdad, digno de cortar de raíz nuestra duda. Pues por largo tiempo hemos permanecido extraviados, sin comprender los verdaderos principios del mundo; sólo un conocedor no engañado como tú puede disipar la incertidumbre de gentes como nosotros».
