Janaka–Parāśara: Varṇa, Gotra, and Dharma Inquiry
ताम्येयु: प्रच्युता: पृथ्वीं मोहपूर्णा नदीं नरा: । यथा गाधमविद्धांसो बुद्धियोगमयं तथा
tāmyeyuḥ pracyutāḥ pṛthvīṃ mohapūrṇāṃ nadīṃ narāḥ | yathā gādham aviddhāṃso buddhiyogamayaṃ tathā ||
Bhishma dijo: Los hombres, caídos en este río de la ilusión —vasto como la tierra— padecen y se agotan. Así como quienes no conocen la hondura de un río sufren al internarse en su lecho profundo, del mismo modo todos los que no están familiarizados con el buddhi-yoga (la disciplina del conocimiento discerniente) caen en este inmenso río del mundo, colmado de engaño, y soportan aflicción.
