इन्द्रियैस्तु प्रदीपार्थ क्रियते बुद्धिरन्तरा । निश्चक्षुर्भिरजानद्धिरिन्द्रियाणि प्रदीपवत्
Translation
Los sentidos no iluminan por sí mismos los objetos; para que éstos se manifiesten, interponen la inteligencia (buddhi) como mediadora. Privados de la potencia del conocimiento, los sentidos son sólo auxiliares, como una lámpara, en hacer visible lo que es.
