चिरकारिक भद्रं ते भद्रं ते चिरकारिक । चिरकारी हि मेधावी नापराध्यति कर्मसु,“चिरकारी! तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। चिरकारी! तुम्हारा मंगल हो। चिरकारी बड़ा बुद्धिमान् है। चिरकारी कर्तव्योंके पालनमें कभी अपराध नहीं करता है।” (यह बात चिरकारीकी प्रशंसा करते हुए उसके पिताने कही थी)
cirakārika bhadraṁ te bhadraṁ te cirakārika | cirakārī hi medhāvī nāparādhyati karmasu ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Cirakārika, que seas bendecido—que seas bendecido, Cirakārika. Pues Cirakārī es verdaderamente sabio; no comete falta en el cumplimiento de sus deberes». Así, alabando a Cirakārika, habló su padre—ensalzando la deliberación y la observancia cuidadosa de las obligaciones como señales de buen juicio y recta conducta.
भीष्म उवाच
Wisdom is shown by deliberation and restraint: a person who acts thoughtfully and fulfills duties carefully is less likely to commit ethical error. The verse praises measured action as a safeguard for dharma.
Bhīṣma quotes a father’s words praising his son Cirakārika/Cirakārī. The father blesses him and commends him as intelligent and reliable in performing duties without fault, presenting him as an exemplar of prudent conduct.
