मृत्योर्ब्रह्मणा नियोजनम् — The Commissioning of Mṛtyu by Brahmā
अविशेषाणि भूतानि गुणांश्व जहतो मुने: । सुखेनापोहाते दुःखं भास्करेण तमो यथा
aviśeṣāṇi bhūtāni guṇāṁś ca jahato muneḥ | sukhena apohate duḥkhaṁ bhāskareṇa tamo yathā ||
Dijo Vyāsa: «Para el sabio que ha desechado los guṇa, todos los seres aparecen sin distinción. Para él, el sufrimiento se disipa sin esfuerzo, como la oscuridad es ahuyentada por el sol».
व्यास उवाच
When a sage relinquishes identification with the guṇas (sattva, rajas, tamas), he perceives beings without partiality or hierarchy, and sorrow falls away naturally—like darkness vanishing in sunlight.
In the didactic flow of Śānti Parva, Vyāsa states a principle of liberation: the muni who has abandoned the guṇas attains an undifferentiated, equal vision of beings, and thereby suffering is effortlessly dispelled.
