यद्यजस््रं समागच्छेद् यथा बाणो गुणच्युत:
yadyajasraṃ samāgacched yathā bāṇo guṇacyutaḥ
Dijo Vyāsa: «Aunque uno volviera a reunirse una y otra vez, sería como una flecha que se ha deslizado de la cuerda del arco»—un símil que sugiere que, perdida la ligadura o la disciplina que sostiene, el esfuerzo repetido carece de verdadero control y no asegura dar en el blanco.
