भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

परावरं तु भूतानां ज्ञानेनिवोपलभ्यते । विद्यया तात सृष्टानां विद्यैवेह परा गति:,तात! प्राणियोंके स्थूल-सूक्ष्म या छोटे-बड़ेका भेद बुद्धिसे ही जाना जाता है। इस जगतमें सब प्राणियोंकी सृष्टि विद्यासे हुई है और उनकी परम गति विद्या ही है

Transliteration

parāvaraṁ tu bhūtānāṁ jñānenaivopalabhyate | vidyayā tāta sṛṣṭānāṁ vidyaiveha parā gatiḥ ||

Translation

La distinción entre los seres—superiores e inferiores, sutiles y groseros—sólo se comprende mediante el conocimiento. En verdad, hijo querido, para las criaturas formadas por el aprendizaje y la comprensión, el conocimiento mismo es su meta suprema y su más alto amparo en este mundo.
