Jñāna-plava (The Raft of Knowledge): Svabhāva, Prajñā, and the Ascent to Ātmajñāna

निन्दाप्रशंसे चात्यर्थ न वदन्ति परस्य ये । न च निन्दाप्रशंसाभ्यां विक्रियन्ते कदाचन,वे दूसरोंकी न तो निन्‍्दा करते हैं और न अधिक प्रशंसा ही। उनकी भी कोई निन्दा या प्रशंसा करे तो उनके मनमें कभी विकार नहीं होता है

nindāpraśaṃse cātyarthaṃ na vadanti parasya ye | na ca nindāpraśaṃsābhyāṃ vikriyante kadācana ||

Dijo Jaigiṣavya: Quienes no hablan de los demás con censura o alabanza excesivas—y quienes jamás se turban por dentro ante la reprensión o la aprobación dirigidas a ellos—permanecen firmes en su carácter. Su fuerza ética reside en la contención de la palabra y en la ecuanimidad de la mente, intactas ante el aplauso o el rechazo del mundo.
