कुद्दालं दात्रपिटकं प्रकीर्ण कांस्यभाजनम् | द्रव्योपकरणं सर्व नान्ववैक्षत् कुटुम्बिनी,दैत्योंकी गृहस्वामिनियाँ घरमें इधर-उधर बिखरे हुए कुदाल, दराँती (या हँसुआ), पिटारी, काँसेके बर्तन तथा अन्य सब द्रव्यों और सामानोंकी देख-भाल नहीं करती हैं
kuddālaṃ dātrapīṭakaṃ prakīrṇaṃ kāṃsyabhājanam | dravyopakaraṇaṃ sarvaṃ nānvavaikṣat kuṭumbinī ||
Śakra dijo: «La dueña de casa no cuida en absoluto los bienes del hogar: la azada, la hoz, la cesta, los recipientes de bronce esparcidos y el resto de los utensilios y posesiones de la familia, tirados aquí y allá.»
