पूर्णमण्डलमालोक्य तावुत्थायोपतस्थतु: । दोनों एकाग्रचित्त होकर प्राचीन वृत्तान्तोंकी चर्चा कर ही रहे थे कि किरणजालसे मण्डित भगवान् भास्करका उदय हुआ। सूर्यदेवका सम्पूर्ण मण्डल देख उन दोनोंने खड़े होकर उनका उपस्थान किया
pūrṇamaṇḍalam ālokya tāv utthāyopatasthatuḥ |
Bhīṣma dijo: Al ver elevarse el sol con su disco pleno, aquellos dos se pusieron en pie al instante y, deteniendo su concentrada conversación sobre relatos antiguos, rindieron reverente homenaje al radiante Señor Bhāskara. La escena subraya la disciplina: aun en medio de un debate grave, debe guardarse la veneración oportuna y la observancia debida.
