सर्वे समरमासाद्य न श्रूयन्ते पराजिता: । सर्वे सत्यव्रतपरा: सर्वे कामविहारिण:
sarve samaram āsādya na śrūyante parājitāḥ | sarve satyavrataparāḥ sarve kāmavihāriṇaḥ ||
Bhishma dijo: «Todos ellos, al entrar en el campo de batalla, jamás fueron oídos como derrotados. Todos estaban entregados al voto de la verdad, y todos se movían y vivían conforme a sus deseos legítimos: libres, sin ataduras y dueños de sí mismos.»
