शक्र उवाच का त्वं बलेरपक्रान्ता रोचमाना शिखण्डिनी । अजानतो ममाचक्ष्व नामधेयं शुचिस्मिते,तब इन्द्रने पूछा--पवित्र मुसकानवाली सुन्दरी! बलिके शरीरसे निकलकर खड़ी हुई तुम कौन हो? तुम्हारी चमक-दमक अदभुत है। तुम्हारी वेणी भी अत्यन्त सुन्दर है। मैं तुम्हें जानता नहीं हूँ; इसलिये पूछता हूँ। तुम मुझे अपना नाम बताओ। सुशभ्रू! दैत्यराजको त्यागकर अपने तेजसे मुझे प्रकाशित करती हुई इस प्रकार तुम कौन खड़ी हो? मेरे प्रश्नके अनुसार अपना परिचय दो
śakra uvāca kā tvaṃ baler apakrāntā rocamānā śikhaṇḍinī | ajānato mamācakṣva nāmadheyaṃ śucismite ||
Dijo Śakra (Indra): «¿Quién eres tú—que te has apartado de Bali—y estás aquí, radiante, de hermosa cabellera? No te conozco; por eso dime tu nombre, oh de sonrisa pura. Habiendo dejado al señor de los daityas e iluminándome con tu esplendor, ¿quién eres tú que así permaneces? Responde a mi pregunta y declara tu identidad».
