शचीपति इन्द्र! जैसे तुम हो, वैसे ही बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न अनेक सहस्र इन्द्र समाप्त हो चुके हैं ।।

Transliteration

tvām apy atibalaṃ śakra devarājaṃ balotkaṭam | prāpta-kāle mahāvīryaḥ kālaḥ saṃśamayīṣyati ||

Translation

Se le dijo a Indra, señor de Śacī: «Así como tú, también han llegado a su fin miles de Indras, colmados de fuerza y valor. Oh Śakra, te tienes por poderosísimo, rey de los dioses, fiero en vigor; pero cuando llegue la hora señalada, el Tiempo, de gran potencia, te aquietará también.»
