Transliteration

śakra uvāca | yatrādadaḥ sahasrāṇi ayutānāṃ gavāṃ daśa | anantaraṃ sahasreṇa tadā āsīd daitya kā matiḥ ||

Translation

Śakra dijo: «Cuando, una y otra vez, entregabas miles de dádivas—cada dádiva compuesta por diez ayutas de vacas—y luego de nuevo en miles sucesivos, oh Daitya, ¿cuál era entonces el estado de tu mente? ¿Qué pensamientos surgían en ti mientras realizabas una ofrenda tan inmensa?»
