भीष्म उवाच एवमुक्तो भगवता महेन्द्र: पृथिवीं तदा । चचारैरावतस्कन्धमधिरुहा[ू श्रिया वृत:
bhīṣma uvāca evam ukto bhagavatā mahendraḥ pṛthivīṃ tadā | cacāra airāvataskandham adhiruhya śriyā vṛtaḥ ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: Así instruido por el Bienaventurado Señor (Brahmā), Mahendra (Indra) montó entonces el lomo de Airāvata y comenzó a recorrer la tierra, resplandeciente con la fortuna real—señal del ejercicio de la soberanía y de la protección del mundo sancionadas por lo divino.
