अव्यक्त–व्यक्त–कारणकार्यविवेकः

Avyakta–Vyakta and Causality: Discrimination of Field and Knower

बुद्धि: कर्मगुणैहीना यदा मनसि वर्तते । तदा सम्पद्यते ब्रह्म तत्रैव प्रलयं गतम्‌

buddhiḥ karmaguṇair hīnā yadā manasi vartate | tadā sampadyate brahma tatraiva pralayaṃ gatam ||

Bhīṣma dijo: Cuando el intelecto (buddhi) queda libre de las cualidades producidas por la acción y mora firmemente en el asiento interior de la mente, entonces el yo individual alcanza a Brahman—disolviéndose allí mismo en esa realidad suprema. El impulso ético es que la liberación no se logra por la mera ejecución externa, sino por el desapego interior de las tendencias nacidas de la acción y por una conciencia aquietada y purificada.
