यदि ब्रह्मन् शृणोष्येतच्छुद्धधासि च मे वचः । वेदोक्तस्यैव धर्मस्य फलं मुख्यमवाप्स्यसि,“ब्रह्म! यदि आप मेरी बात सुनेंगे और उसपर श्रद्धा करेंगे तो आपको वेदोक्त धर्मके पालनका ही मुख्य फल प्राप्त होगा
yadi brahman śṛṇoṣy etac chuddhadhāsi ca me vacaḥ | vedoktasyāiva dharmasya phalaṃ mukhyam avāpsyasi ||
Bhishma dijo: «Oh brahmán, si escuchas esto y depositas tu fe en mis palabras, alcanzarás la recompensa principal que proviene de practicar el dharma mismo prescrito por los Vedas.»
