पाणिमद्भ्य: स्पृहास्माकं यथा तव धनस्य वै | न पाणिलाभादधिको लाभ: कश्षन विद्यते
pāṇimadbhyaḥ spṛhāsmākaṃ yathā tava dhanasya vai | na pāṇilābhād adhiko lābhaḥ kaścan vidyate ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Así como tú anhelas la riqueza, del mismo modo nosotros, los seres sin manos, anhelamos a quienes las poseen, esperando obtener manos también. A nuestro juicio, no hay ganancia mayor que la ganancia de las manos».
