वरं पिनाकी भगवान् सर्वभूतहिते रत: । इतना ही नहीं, सर्वभूतहितकारी पिनाकपाणि भगवान् शिवने गीध और गीदड़को भी उनकी भूख मिट जानेका वरदान दे दिया
varaṁ pinākī bhagavān sarvabhūtahite rataḥ |
Dijo Bhīṣma: El Bienaventurado Señor Pinākī (Śiva), siempre dedicado al bienestar de todos los seres, concedió un don. En verdad, ese Śiva portador del Pināka, cuyo propósito es el bien de toda criatura, otorgó incluso al buitre y al chacal una gracia por la cual su hambre quedaría saciada, mostrando una compasión imparcial que se extiende más allá de los hombres a todo lo viviente.
