कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च
The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion
पक्षिणो वर्षवेगेन हता लीनास्तदा भवन् । मृगसिंहवराहाश्व स्थलम॒श्रित्य शेरते
pakṣiṇo varṣavegena hatā līnāstadā bhavan | mṛgasiṁhavarāhāśva sthalam āśritya śerate ||
Bhishma dijo: Impulsadas hacia abajo por la violencia de la lluvia, las aves fueron golpeadas y quedaron en silencio, ocultándose. Ciervos, leones, jabalíes y caballos, refugiándose en terreno más alto, yacían allí—cada cual buscando amparo cuando la furia de la naturaleza lo sobrepasa todo.
