कि नु दुःखमतोडचन्यद् वै यदहं श्रमकर्शित: । भवतामाश्रमं प्राप्तो हताशो भ्रष्टलक्षण:
ki nu duḥkham ato 'nyad vai yad ahaṃ śramakarśitaḥ | bhavatām āśramaṃ prāpto hatāśo bhraṣṭalakṣaṇaḥ ||
Bhishma dijo: «¿Qué pena podría ser mayor que ésta: que yo, consumido por el esfuerzo y la fatiga, haya llegado a vuestro eremitorio como un hombre sin esperanza, despojado incluso de las señales de mi antigua condición?»
