Adhyāya 115: On Restraint Under Verbal Provocation in the Assembly (सभायां आक्रोश-सहिष्णुता)
यस्यावाच्यं न लोके5स्ति नाकार्य चापि किंचन । वाचं तेन न संदध्याच्छुचि: संश्लिष्टकर्मणा,संसारमें जिसके लिये कुछ भी कह देना या कर डालना असम्भव नहीं है, ऐसे मनुष्यसे उस भले मनुष्यको बात भी नहीं करनी चाहिये जो अपने सत्कर्मके द्वारा विशुद्ध समझा जाता है
yasya avācyaṃ na loke 'sti na akāryaṃ cāpi kiṃcana | vācaṃ tena na sandadhyāc chuciḥ saṃśliṣṭa-karmāṇā ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Con aquel para quien, en este mundo, nada es “indecible” y nada es “impropio de hacerse”, un hombre puro—conocido por haber sido purificado y ennoblecido por una conducta justa y constante—no debe ni siquiera entablar conversación».
