जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
सर्वे स्वर्गतिमिच्छन्ति सुयुद्धेनातिमन्यव: । क्षोभयेयुरनीकानि सागरं मकरा यथा
sarve svargatim icchanti suyuddhenātimanyavaḥ | kṣobhayeyur anīkāni sāgaraṃ makarā yathā ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: Todos los nobles kshatriyas, fieros en orgullo y valor, anhelan alcanzar el cielo por medio de una batalla justa. Por eso, como los makaras que baten y agitan el océano, irrumpen en las formaciones del enemigo y siembran el tumulto en los ejércitos, movidos por la ira, la ambición y el código del guerrero que equipara el combate valeroso con un destino excelso.
