भীমेन युधिष्ठिरस्य त्यागवृत्तेः प्रतिषेधः
Bhīma’s Rebuttal of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Renunciatory Inclination
अथ चेदात्मभाग्येषु नान्येषां सिद्धिमश्रुते । तस्मात् कर्मव कर्तव्यं नास्ति सिद्धिरकर्मण:,यदि अपने भाग्यमें दूसरोंके कर्मोसे प्राप्त हुई सिद्धि नहीं आती, तब तो सभीको कर्म ही करना चाहिये। अकर्मण्य पुरुषको कभी कोई सिद्धि नहीं मिलती
atha ced ātmabhāgyeṣu nānyeṣāṁ siddhim aśrute | tasmāt karmaiva kartavyaṁ nāsti siddhir akarmaṇaḥ ||
Bhima dijo: «Si, dentro del destino que a cada cual le toca, no se oye que el logro provenga de las obras de otros, entonces uno debe actuar por sí mismo. Pues para el hombre que no actúa no hay jamás realización.»
