रणभूमिवर्णनम् — Devāsuropama-yuddha and the ‘River’ Metaphor of the Battlefield
अभ्ययु: कौरवान् राजन् योत्स्यमाना: समन्ततः । राजन! इसी प्रकार उस महासमरमें पाण्डव भी अपनी सेनाका व्यूह बनाकर सब ओरसे युद्धके लिये उद्यत हो कौरवोंपर चढ़ आये
abhyayuḥ kauravān rājan yotsyamānāḥ samantataḥ |
Sañjaya dijo: «Oh rey, los kauravas avanzaron desde todos los flancos, ansiosos de combatir. Del mismo modo, en medio de aquella gran batalla, los pāṇḍavas también, tras disponer su ejército en formación, se precipitaron sobre los kauravas desde todas direcciones, plenamente preparados para el combate».
