चकार गमने बुद्धिं परलोकाय वै तदा । जब वह स्वयं एक पग भी चलनेमें असमर्थ हो गयी, तब उसने परलोकमें जानेका विचार किया
cakāra gamane buddhiṃ paralokāya vai tadā |
Entonces, al no poder dar siquiera un solo paso, resolvió partir hacia el otro mundo, apartando su mente de la lucha del cuerpo y orientándola hacia el tránsito final más allá de la vida.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When the body can no longer sustain action, the verse highlights a shift from clinging to physical capability toward accepting the inevitable transition, framing death as a deliberate turning of the mind toward the hereafter.
The narrator states that, at that moment, she became unable to walk even a step and therefore formed the resolve to go to the next world—signaling imminent death or a conscious acceptance of it.
