कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
तेजो माहेश्वरं स्कन्नमग्नौ प्रपतितं पुरा । तत् सर्वभक्षो भगवान् नाशकद् दग्धुमक्षयम्,पूर्वकालकी बात है, भगवान् शिवका तेजोमय वीर्य अग्निमें गिर पड़ा। भगवान् अग्नि सर्वभक्षी हैं तो भी उस अक्षय वीर्यको वे भस्म न कर सके
tejo māheśvaraṁ skannam agnau prapatitaṁ purā | tat sarvabhakṣo bhagavān nāśakad dagdhum akṣayam ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Hace mucho tiempo, la potencia radiante nacida de Śiva se desprendió y cayó en Agni. Aunque el bienaventurado Agni es célebre como el que todo lo devora, no pudo consumir con su fuego aquella energía imperecedera.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even the most consuming worldly force (fire/Agni) has limits before imperishable divine potency; power must be approached with humility, and cosmic hierarchy/order (tejas as sacred) is to be respected rather than treated as ordinary matter.
An ancient event is recalled: Śiva’s radiant potency falls into Agni, but Agni—despite being ‘all-devouring’—cannot burn or destroy it, indicating the extraordinary, indestructible nature of that Śaiva tejas.
