अध्याय ४ — दुर्योधनस्य असंधि-निश्चयः
Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation
आत्मनोडर्थे त्वया लोको यत्नतः सर्व आहृत: । स ते संशायितस्तात आत्मा वै भरतर्षभ,“भरतश्रेष्ठ! तुमने अपनी रक्षाके लिये ही प्रयत्नपूर्वक सारे जगत्के लोगोंको एकत्र किया था, किंतु तुम्हारा ही जीवन संशयमें पड़ गया है
ātmanaḥ arthe tvayā loko yatnataḥ sarva āhṛtaḥ | sa te saṁśāyitas tāta ātmā vai bharatarṣabha ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Oh toro entre los Bharatas, por tu propia seguridad reuniste con gran esfuerzo a gentes de todas partes. Y, sin embargo, ahora, querido, es tu propia vida la que ha caído en la incertidumbre.»
