ब्रह्मादिभि: सुरै राजन्नषिभिश्व॒ तपोधनै:,राजन! नरेश्वर! तब ब्रह्मा आदि देवताओं तथा तपोधन महर्षियोंने ऋषिके विषयमें महादेवजीसे निवेदन किया--'देव! आप ऐसा कोई उपाय करें, जिससे ये मुनि नृत्य न करें
brahmādibhiḥ surai rājann ṛṣibhiś ca tapodhanaiḥ | rājann nareśvara tava brahmādayo devāḥ tathā tapodhanā maharṣayaḥ ṛṣeḥ viṣaye mahādevajīṃ prati nivedanam akurvan— “deva! bhavān tādṛśam upāyaṃ karotu yena ime munayo nṛtyaṃ na kuryuḥ.”
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Oh rey, Brahmā y los demás dioses, junto con los grandes rishis austeros, se acercaron a Mahādeva por causa de aquel sabio y le suplicaron: “Señor, dispone algún medio para que estos ascetas cesen de danzar.”»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even spiritually powerful beings and practices should be governed by restraint and appropriateness; when conduct becomes disruptive or excessive, wise intervention and a proper means (upāya) are sought to restore order.
Brahmā and other gods, along with austere sages, approach Mahādeva (Śiva) and request that he find a way to stop certain munis from dancing, indicating concern that their behavior is improper or destabilizing.
