Kapālamocana-tīrtha (Auśanasa) and Balarāma’s Sarasvatī Pilgrimage
तत्रर्षय: सप्त जाता जज्ञिरे मरुतां गणा: । वायुवेगो वायुबलो वायुहा वायुमण्डल:,उस कलशमें सात ऋषि उत्पन्न हुए, जो मूलभूत मरुद्गण थे। उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं --वायुवेग, वायुबल, वायुहा, वायुमण्डल, वायुज्वाल, वायुरेता और शक्तिशाली वायुचक्र। ये उनचास मरुदगणोंके जन्मदाता “मरुत' उत्पन्न हुए थे-
tatrarṣayaḥ sapta jātā jajñire marutāṃ gaṇāḥ | vāyuvego vāyubalo vāyuhā vāyumaṇḍalaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Allí nacieron siete rishis, seres que llegaron a ser las compañías primordiales de los Maruts. Sus nombres fueron Vāyuvega, Vāyubala, Vāyuhā y Vāyumaṇḍala (y, como prosigue la tradición, Vāyujvāla, Vāyuretā y el poderoso Vāyucakra). Así surgieron los progenitores de las huestes marutas, encarnando la fuerza elemental del viento y su poder ordenado y disciplinado».
