भीमसेनस्य कौरवसुतवधः तथा श्रुतर्वावधः
Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā
नातिप्रसिद्धेव गति: पाण्डवानामजायत । चारों ओर पर्वताकार विशालकाय हाथी पड़े थे, जो भीमसेन और अर्जुनके आघातोंसे पिस गये थे। उनके कारण पाण्डवोंका आगे बढ़ना अत्यन्त दुष्कर हो गया था ।।
nātiprasiddheva gatiḥ pāṇḍavānām ajāyata | rathamārgaṃ tataḥ śukre bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: El avance de los Pāṇḍava pareció vacilar y quedar obstruido. Por todas partes yacían enormes elefantes, como montañas, aplastados bajo los golpes de Bhīmasena y Arjuna; por su causa, avanzar se volvió sumamente difícil. Entonces el poderosísimo Bhīmasena despejó un camino para los carros.
