Kṛpa’s Counsel on Destiny and Human Effort
उत्थायोत्थाय हि सदा प्रष्टव्या वृद्धसम्मता:
utthāyotthāya hi sadā praṣṭavyā vṛddhasammatāḥ
Una y otra vez debe uno levantarse y buscar sin cesar consejo de aquellos ancianos reconocidos por todos como sabios; pues en tiempos de peligro y de duda moral, la guía fundada en la experiencia afirma la conducta y la decisión.
कृप उवाच
One should repeatedly and respectfully consult recognized elders and the wise; ethical action, especially in crisis, is strengthened by guidance rooted in experience and accepted authority.
In the Sauptika Parva’s tense aftermath of battle, Kṛpa emphasizes the need for continual consultation with respected elders—an admonition about prudent decision-making amid danger and moral strain.
