अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः

Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution

वहाँ रथोंसे उतरकर वे महारथी वीर बड़ी उतावलीके साथ आकर शोकपीड़ित द्रपदकुमारी कृष्णासे मिले। वे स्वयं भी शोकसे अत्यन्त व्याकुल हो रहे थे ।। तामुपेत्य निरानन्दां दुःखशोकसमन्विताम्‌ | परिवार्य व्यतिष्ठन्त पाण्डवा: सहकेशवा:,दुःख-शोकमें डूबी हुई आनन्दशून्य द्रौपदीके पास पहुँचकर श्रीकृष्णसहित पाण्डव उसे चारों ओरसे घेरकर बैठ गये

tām upetya nirānandāṁ duḥkhaśokasamanvitām | parivārya vyatiṣṭhanta pāṇḍavāḥ sahakeśavāḥ ||

Allí, tras bajar de sus carros, aquellos héroes maharathas acudieron con premura a encontrarse con Kṛṣṇā, la hija de Drupada—Draupadī—afligida por el dolor; y ellos mismos se hallaban profundamente turbados por la pena. Al acercarse a Draupadī, sin alegría y sumida en aflicción y duelo, los Pāṇḍava—junto con Keśava (Kṛṣṇa)—la rodearon y permanecieron cerca, en solidaria compañía. La escena subraya el deber ético de parientes y aliados: ofrecer presencia, amparo y luto compartido tras la atrocidad.
