Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत सौप्तिकपर्वके अन्तर्गत ऐषीकपर्वमें ब्रह्मासत्रका पाण्डवोके गर्भमें प्रवेशविषयक पंद्रहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,इतश्वोर्ध्व महाबाहु: कुरुराजो भविष्यति
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate sauptikaparvake antargata aiṣīkaparvaṇi brahmāstrasya pāṇḍavānāṁ garbhe praveśaviṣayakaḥ pañcadaśo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ | itaś cordhvaṁ mahābāhuḥ kururājo bhaviṣyati ||
Así, en el Śrī Mahābhārata, dentro del Sauptika Parva—en particular, en la sección Aiṣīka—concluye el capítulo decimoquinto, que trata de la entrada del Brahmāstra en el vientre del linaje de los Pāṇḍavas. Desde aquí en adelante, nacerá un rey de los Kurus, de brazos poderosos.
वैशग्पायन उवाच

This is a chapter-colophon style conclusion: it closes the chapter describing the Brahmāstra’s threat to the unborn heir in the Pāṇḍava line and then foreshadows that a mighty Kuru king will be born from this point onward.
