Varuṇa’s Divine Assembly
Nārada’s Description
The verse highlights dharmic order and rightful authority: even powerful deities (the Ādityas) honor Varuṇa as the proper lord of the waters, modeling reverence, humility, and recognition of cosmic roles.
Nārada describes a wondrous divine assembly where the Ādityas, splendidly adorned with celestial garlands and fragrances, are engaged in worship of Varuṇa, identified as jaleśvara, the sovereign of the waters.
