नारद उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined narration and attentive listening: knowledge of great realms is transmitted through a trustworthy witness (Nārada), and the listener is urged to hear in sequence—an ethical model of careful testimony and receptive learning.
Nārada tells the Bharata prince that he has already seen Varuṇa’s beautiful assembly-hall during his travels and now transitions to describing Kubera’s hall, moving the account from one divine court to the next.
