संजय उवाच तवेदं स्वकृतं राजन् महद् वैरमुपस्थितम् । विनाशो येन लोकस्य सानुबन्धो भविष्यति,संजय बोले--राजन्! यह आपकी अपनी ही की हुई करतूत है, जिससे यह महान् वैर उपस्थित हुआ है और इसीके कारण सम्पूर्ण जगत्का सगे-सम्बन्धियों-लहित विनाश हो जायगा
sañjaya uvāca: tavedaṃ svakṛtaṃ rājan mahad vairaṃ upasthitam | vināśo yena lokasya sānubandho bhaviṣyati ||
Sañjaya dijo: Oh rey, esta gran enemistad que ahora se alza ante ti es obra tuya. Por causa de ella, vendrá la destrucción del mundo—junto con sus vínculos y dependientes.
संजय उवाच
The verse stresses moral responsibility: destructive conflict does not arise by fate alone but from one’s own actions. A ruler’s choices can generate enmity whose consequences spread beyond the immediate actors, bringing widespread ruin.
Sañjaya addresses the king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra), warning him that the present, immense feud is self-created and will lead to catastrophic destruction affecting the whole realm and all those connected to it.
