The verse highlights how moments of proper social conduct—respectful salutations and affectionate leave-taking—can be abruptly interrupted by crisis, reminding readers that dharmic decorum exists within a fragile human world where sudden upheavals demand attention and response.
The narrator reports that after greetings and embraces were completed and a woman was about to leave, a loud commotion suddenly erupted inside the Pāṇḍavas’ inner quarters, signaling an unexpected disturbance within the household.
