एकवस्त्रा त्वधोनीवी रोदमाना रजस्वला । सभामागम्य पाज्चालि श्वशुरस्याग्रतो भव
ekavastrā tv adhonīvī rodamānā rajasvalā | sabhām āgamya pāñcāli śvaśurasyāgrato bhava ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Pāñcālī, aunque lleves una sola prenda, con el paño inferior suelto, y aunque estés en tu período menstrual, ven llorando a la sala de la asamblea y ponte de pie ante tu suegro».
