सुदान्ता राजवहना: सर्वशब्दक्षमा युधि । ईषादन्ता महाकाया: सर्वे चाष्टकरेणव:,युधिष्ठिरने कहा--मेरे पास दस हजार श्रेष्ठ रथ और छकड़े हैं। जिनमें छोटे-बड़े वाहन सदा जुटे ही रहते हैं ।।
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
sudāntā rājavahanāḥ sarvaśabdakṣamā yudhi |
īṣādantā mahākāyāḥ sarve cāṣṭakareṇavaḥ |
evaṃ varṇasya varṇasya samuccīya sahasraśaḥ |
yathā samuditā vīrāḥ sarve vīraparākramāḥ ||
Dijo Yudhiṣṭhira: «Tengo vehículos reales bien adiestrados —carros y carretas— capaces de soportar toda orden en el fragor de la batalla; sus yugos son firmes y sus armazones, enormes, todos aptos para los tiros de ocho. Asimismo, de cada orden social, miles de guerreros escogidos están reunidos y mantenidos juntos a mi servicio: hombres de probado valor, todos dotados de heroica pujanza.»
युधिछिर उवाच
