Nārada’s Examination of Royal Ethics
एतया वर्तमानस्य बुद्धया राष्ट्र न सीदति । विजित्य च महीं राजा सो>त्यन्तसुखमेधते,जो ऐसी बुद्धिके अनुसार बर्ताव करता है, उसका राष्ट्र कभी संकटमें नहीं पड़ता। वह राजा सारी पृथ्वीको जीतकर बड़े सुखसे दिनोदिन उन्नति करता है
etayā vartamānasya buddhyā rāṣṭra na sīdati | vijitya ca mahīṁ rājā so ’tyantasukham edhate ||
Dijo Nārada: «Cuando un soberano se conduce conforme a este consejo de juicio penetrante, su reino no cae en la aflicción. Tras conquistar la tierra, ese rey prospera día tras día, floreciendo en la dicha más alta—porque su gobierno se guía por el recto discernimiento y no por el arrebato».
