Adhyāya 33: Antarvedī-Samāgama, Arghya-Nirṇaya, and Śiśupāla’s Objection
Even a righteous goal (a great sacrifice) should be pursued through proper authorization, humility, and adherence to dharmic procedure—seeking counsel and consent rather than acting from pride or haste.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Kṛṣṇa, requesting his explicit permission to take the ritual consecration for the supreme sacrifice, and asks that this permission extend to his younger brothers as well.
