राजसूयविचारः — Deliberation on the Rajasuya and the Summoning of Kṛṣṇa
वरुणस्य सभायां तु नागास्ते कथिता विभो । देत्येन्द्राश्रनापि भूयिष्ठा: सरित: सागरास्तथा,प्रभो! वरुणकी सभामें तो अधिकांश नाग, दैत्येन्द्र, सरिताएँ और समुद्र ही बताये गये हैं
varuṇasya sabhāyāṃ tu nāgās te kathitā vibho | daityendrāś ca nāpī bhūyiṣṭhāḥ saritaḥ sāgarās tathā, prabho ||
Dijo Yudhiṣṭhira: «Oh poderoso, en la asamblea de Varuṇa se dice que los Nāgas se hallan en gran número; asimismo los señores de los Dānavas, y en abundancia también los ríos y los océanos, oh señor».
युधिछ्िर उवाच
The verse highlights a traditional cosmological mapping of divine realms: Varuṇa’s court is characterized by beings and elements connected with waters—Nāgas, rivers, and oceans—suggesting that domains reflect the nature and responsibility of their presiding deity.
Yudhiṣṭhira is questioning/confirming details about the different celestial assembly halls (sabhās). Here he refers specifically to Varuṇa’s sabhā and notes who and what are predominantly present there.
