Vasudeva–Arjuna Dialogue in the Aftermath of Dvārakā
नाहं वृष्णिप्रवीरेण बन्धुभिश्वैव मातुल । विहीनां पृथिवीं द्रष्ट शक्यामीह कथंचन,“मामाजी! वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख वीर भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण तथा अपने भाइयोंसे हीन हुई यह पृथ्वी मुझसे अब किसी तरह देखी नहीं जा सकेगी
vaiśampāyana uvāca | nāhaṁ vṛṣṇipravīreṇa bandhūbhiś caiva mātula | vihīnāṁ pṛthivīṁ draṣṭuṁ śakyāmīha kathaṁcana ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Oh tío materno, de ningún modo puedo soportar contemplar esta tierra cuando está privada del héroe más excelso de los Vṛṣṇi y de mis propios parientes. Un mundo vacío de Kṛṣṇa y de la estirpe de los Yādava se me ha vuelto moral y afectivamente insoportable».
