अभिशन्ञो युद्धधर्माणां वेदान्तावभूथाप्लुत: । दिव्यास्त्रविदमेयात्मा कार्तवीर्यसमो युधि,'पाण्डुनन्दन! तुम लोकमें महान् शूर और सदाचारी माने जाते हो। युद्धके धर्मोको जानते हो। वेदान्तका अध्ययनरूपी यज्ञ समाप्त करके तुम उसमें अवभूथस्नान कर चुके हो। तुम्हें दिव्यास्त्रोंका ज्ञान है। तुम अमेय आत्मबलसे सम्पन्न तथा युद्धस्थलमें कार्तवीर्य अर्जुनके समान पराक्रमी हो

abhiśaṅño yuddhadharmāṇāṃ vedāntāvabhūthāplutaḥ |
divyāstravid ameyātmā kārtavīryasamo yudhi ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Estás plenamente instruido en las leyes de la guerra justa. Habiendo concluido el sacrificio que es el estudio del Vedānta, como si hubieras realizado el baño purificatorio final. Posees el conocimiento de las armas divinas; tu fuerza interior es inconmensurable; y en el campo de batalla eres tan poderoso como Kārtavīrya Arjuna».
