स चोदितो भीमजनार्दनाभ्यां स्मृत्वा तथा55त्मानमवेक्ष्य सर्वम् । इहात्मनश्नलागमने विदित्वा प्रयोजन केशवमित्युवाच
sa codito bhīma-janārdanābhyāṁ smṛtvā tathātmānam avekṣya sarvam | ihātmanas tv anāgamane viditvā prayojanaṁ keśavam ity uvāca ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Así instado por Bhīma y Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa), el poderoso Arjuna recordó su verdadero voto y examinó toda la situación. Al comprender el propósito por el cual había venido a este campo de batalla—y que no le correspondía retirarse—se dirigió a Keśava (Kṛṣṇa) en consecuencia.
