प्रेष्यवच्चापि राजानमुपस्थास्यन्ति कौरवम् । “निश्चय ही ये थोथे तिलोंके समान नपुंसक हैं और नरकमें डूब गये हैं। आजसे ये दासोंके समान कौरव-नरेशकी सेवामें उपस्थित होंगे” ।।
preṣyavaccāpi rājānam upasthāsyanti kauravam | ityuktavān adharmajñas tadā paramadurmatī ||
Dijo Sañjaya: «Desde ahora servirán al rey Kaurava como si fueran simples siervos.» Dicho esto, aquel hombre—ignorante del dharma y de intención enteramente perversa—proclamó un juicio cruel, tildando a otros de caídos y faltos de hombría; y así dejó al descubierto la degradación moral que acompaña al orgullo y al desprecio en el frenesí de la guerra.
