स त्वं धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठ राजानं धर्मसंहितम् । प्रसादय कुरुश्रेष्ठमेतदत्र मतं मम,“इसलिये इस विषयमें मेरा विचार यह है कि तुम धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ धर्मपरायण कुरुश्रेष्ठ राजा युधिष्ठिरको प्रसन्न करो
sa tvaṁ dharmabhṛtāṁ śreṣṭha rājānaṁ dharmasaṁhitam | prasādaya kuruśreṣṭham etad atra mataṁ mama ||
Dijo Sañjaya: «Por tanto, oh el mejor entre los sostenedores del dharma, gana el favor de ese rey firme en la rectitud: Yudhiṣṭhira, el más eminente de los Kurus. Éste, en este asunto, es mi consejo meditado».
संजय उवाच
Even amid conflict, the highest counsel is to seek alignment with dharma by winning the goodwill of a righteous leader; ethical legitimacy and reconciliation are presented as superior to mere force.
Sanjaya offers counsel, urging that the proper course is to appease and win over Yudhiṣṭhira—described as the foremost Kuru and a king firmly grounded in dharma.
